Who is Leo Woodall? Get to know 'The White Lotus' star

He's a late addition to The White Lotus season 2, but Leo Woodall's character Jack certainly makes an impression, especially on Haley Lu Richardson's Portia, the young assistant joining her boss Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) on a trip to Sicily. 

There, the women encounter British ex-pat Quentin (Tom Hollander) and his hunky twentysomething nephew Jack, the latter of who causes a bit of a love triangle for Portia and her other vacation suitor, sweet Stanford grad Albie (Adam DiMarco). But with his Essex accent and flirty attitude, will Jack sway Portia away from Albie? Or, more concerningly, is he the one who dies in White Lotus season 2? 

We'll have to wait to see how it all plays out—the season 2 finale airs on Sunday, December 11—but until then, let's get to know the actor who plays Jack, Leo Woodall. 

Who is Leo Woodall, 'White Lotus' actor?

In February 2022, it was announced that Leo Woodall would be rounding out the cast of The White Lotus season 2 alongside actors Theo James, Meghann Fahy and Will Sharpe, per Variety (opens in new tab). The London-born actor has a recurring guest role on the show playing "magnetic" guest Jack, who has been staying in Palermo with his uncle Quentin for the past few months. 

Leo Woodall's introduction on the show is a shirtless scene where Jack encounters Portia by the pool during an evening swim. "It was really exciting, really fun," Woodall told E! News (opens in new tab). "The scene in which it happens is a fun way to do it. Just to walk out to the pool, get your kit off, covered in tattoos and start talking about your sensitive nipples."

Of his The White Lotus co-star Haley Lu Richardson, Woodall told the outlet: "She is so much fun. She's one of a kind, that woman. She's like a unicorn. It's kind of hard to describe her, in a way. I don't even have words for it. But we had a blast."

“Part of the point of Jack is that he’s the polar opposite to Albie,” Woodall told TheWrap (opens in new tab) about his character. “He, from the get-go, provides the things that Portia thinks that she wants or needs at the at the beginning of the series.”

“I think [at] this point, he just wants to go and have fun and not have to hang around with his uncle and his uncle’s friends, because you want to hang out with the people that you can find real common ground with,” he continued.
