UFC 314 adds Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates banger to Miami

A welterweight banger is among the recent batch of additions to UFC 314.
The Miami pay-per-view April 12 at Kaseya Center will feature Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates, the promotion officially announced Wednesday. The bout was first announced by Super Lutas.
A staple of the upper echelon of the welterweight division, Fortis MMA's Neal (16-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) looks to turn a standalone win over Rafael dos Anjos into a winning streak. Though that victory in October came by knee injury, it snapped a two-fight skid.
Prates (21-6 MMA, 4-0 UFC) was the 2024 MMA Junkie Newcomer of the Year for his impressive start to his UFC tenure. In four fights, Prates has registered four knockouts against Trevin Giles, Charles Radtke, Li Jingliang, and Neil Magny.
With the addition, the UFC 314 lineup includes:
Alexander Volkanovski vs. Diego Lopes – for vacant featherweight title
Michael Chandler vs. Paddy Pimblett
Patricio Freire vs. Yair Rodriguez
Geoff Neal vs. Carlos Prates
Nikita Krylov vs. Dominick Reyes
Dan Ige vs. Sean Woodson
Virna Jandiroba vs. Yan Xiaonan
Chase Hooper vs. Jim Miller
Alberto Montes vs. Roberto Romero
Su Mudaerji vs. Mitch Raposo
Darren Elkins vs. Julian Erosa
Sedriques Dumas vs. Michal Oleksiejczuk
