GAIL shares decline 0.41% as Sensex slides

Shares of the GAIL (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 108.8 on BSE at 10:15AM (IST) on Wednesday, down 0.41 per cent from previous close.

The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 83.0 and a high of Rs 112.8.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a opening in the morning.

A total of 65,469 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 10:15AM (IST).

The stock of GAIL (India) Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 71471.33 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 8.47, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 1.08. Return on equity (ROE) was at 19.11 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 283 stocks traded in the green, while 218 stocks were in the red. Promotor Holding Promoters held 51.91 per cent in the GAIL (India) Ltd. as of 31-Mar-2023 while overseas and domestic institutional investors owned 16.4 per cent and 17.92 per cent, respectively.
