FK Shkendija vs Tottenham highlights: Late Son Heung-min and Harry Kane goals seal crucial win
Good afternoon and welcome along to live coverage of Spurs’ Europa League qualifying tie against North Macedonian’s side KF Shkendija.
Jose Mourinho’s side survived a scare when they saw off Lokomotiv Plovdiv in Bulgaria in the last round and they face another arduous midweek away trip to eastern Europe this week to take on Shkendija.
It would have been Spurs’ second game in 48 hours but their Carabao Cup third round tie against Leyton Orient was called off in midweek after the League One side suffered an outbreak of coronavirus in their squad.
New recruit Sergio Reguilon is not involved in the party that has travelled to North Macedonia, nor is Gareth Bale. One player who has travelled and is expected to start is Dele Alli, who has been left out of the past two matchday squads and has been thrown down a challenge by Mourinho to earn his place back in the Premier League eleven.
The manager is expected to hand starts to reserve goalkeeper Joe Hart as Hugo Lloris gets a rest. Serge Aurier could make his first outing of the season at right back while Tanguy Ndombele could make his second start in successive games as he builds up match fitness.
