Police conducting 'thorough investigation' on Ronaldo Valdez's ...

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced on Monday that it is probing the details surrounding the demise of esteemed television and film actor Ronaldo Valdez.

In a statement, QCPD confirmed the news about the 76-year-old actor but did not reveal the cause of his death.

“The QCPD extends its heartfelt condolences for the reported death of Ronald James Dulaca Gibbs yesterday, December 17, 2023,” QCPD said.

“As of today, QCPD is currently conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the cause of the death of Mr. James Gibbs aka Ronaldo Valdez,” it added.

QCPD likewise extended its condolences to Valdez’s loved ones as it advised the public “to refrain from concluding and respect the family’s request to grieve in private.”

“We understand the importance of this matter; hence, we are working diligently to gather all relevant facts and evidence,” it said.

“We assure the public that any findings from the investigation will be officially released,” the QCPD added.

The veteran actor was survived by his wife, Maria Fe Ilagan Gibbs, and his children, Janno Gibbs and former actress Melissa Gibbs. Janno recently confirmed his father’s tragic death via an Instagram post.
