Coronavirus: ACT's David Seymour Slams Government's Covid Isolation Rules
David Seymour, leader of the ACT Party, has spoken out against the New Zealand Government's latest Covid-19 isolation rules. He slammed the decision as an unnecessary measure, and one that is treating New Zealanders "like kids".
The Government has stated that individuals must self-isolate for 14 days if they have been in contact with a confirmed case, or if they have visited high-risk countries. This has caused a great deal of confusion among the public, with some believing that the rules are too strict and others believing that they are too lax. Regardless, the Government has urged people to follow the guidelines.
David Seymour believes that New Zealand should move on from this strict isolation period and focus on how to protect the population from Covid-19 without such stringent measures. He stated that the Government's decision was "just making it up" and it's time for New Zealand to move on.
