Fans tell F1 'shame on you' for Cara Delevingne post after ...

Fans have slammed Formula One for “advertising” Cara Delevingne after her “disrespectful” Martin Brundle snub.
Sky Sports F1 commentator and pundit Brundle, 64, is well known for having awkward interactions with celebrities during his iconic grid-walks before races.
Yet the former British racing driver’s walk at the British Grand Prix on Sunday reached new levels of painful after he was left hanging by supermodel Delevingne.
Brundle approached her for a comment on the Silverstone atmosphere but was quickly told by a security aide that she “doesn’t want to talk”. An undeterred Brundle decided to approach the 30-year-old anyway, who bluntly said “no” several times.

Brundle told the actress: “The deal is everybody has to speak on the grid,” before facing more rejection as she claimed she “can’t hear anything,” leaving a bitter taste in viewers’ mouths.
Fans have since reacted by calling out Delevingne for refusing to speak to the beloved legend while slamming F1 for giving seemingly disinterested celebrities access to the track on race days.

And the official F1 account was strongly criticised for posting a photo of the model, along with several other high-profile Silverstone guests, on Instagram after the race.
One fan commented: “Why advertise Cara Delevingne when she ignored an F1 legend that is Martin Brundle on the famous grid walk. If you don’t wanna talk, then don’t disrespect the sport and ignore someone who’s doing their job as part of the sport!!!”
Another wrote: “Cara Whatever was incredibly rude and obnoxious to Martin Brundle. Do not show her face.”
A third added: “Admin please remove Cara's pictures. Doesn't deserve the F1 grid she walked on.” And a fourth commented: “Why you giving Cara exposure? She acted like an ***hole on the grid.”
Having come under fire on Sunday, Delevingne sought to explain her stance by replying to a tweet which read: “At this point, Martin Brundle is just doing it to manufacture the moment for the controversy of it all.
“You can clearly see the PR rep tell him 'no' and shake his head when he goes up towards Cara Delevingne.”
She quote-tweeted it, adding: “I was told to say no so I did. Thank you for seeing both sides xxx.”
