Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid do 'superhero glam' at movie premiere ...

It was supposed to be Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s night.

The superstar actors certainly did walk the red carpet at the premiere of their new Marvel flick ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ in New York City.

But arguably, all eyes were on Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively and her best friend, model Gigi Hadid, as they arrived for the premiere dressed in themed outfits that paid homage to the aesthetic of the movie’s title characters.

Lively was back on the red carpet to support husband Reynolds after skipping this year’s Met Gala. She bought along bestie Hadid for the night as the pair happily posed for photos.

While some online commenters playfully branded the looks ‘ketchup and mustard,’ others lauded the two for their fashion nods to the blockbuster movie event they were there for.

Lively donned a custom long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder red bodysuit with crystal detailing by Versace. Her sleek, elongated high ponytail perfectly accented the superhero glam look, as did Lorraine Schwartz drop earrings.

Hadid chose a Wolverine-yellow matching skirt set by Italian fashion label Miu Miu’s SS24 collection, pairing it with a comic-esque flicked out bob hair style, complete with coif. She stacked her arms with Alexis Bittar’s bangles and carried a sunshine yellow Miu Miu handbag.

Lively’s long-time makeup artist Kristofer Buckle shared a closer look at the very on-trend glowy, soft-glam makeup her created for the occasion, that included a luminous complexion, warm bronzer, and deep rose-pink eyeshadow and lipstick that complemented the red catsuit she wore.

Buckle also revealed he had created Hadid’s look, which involved softly smoky eyeshadow finished with dramatic flicked-out black eyeliner and a shiny, nude-toned lipstick.

Reynolds, paid tribute to his wife’s look as he took the stage with his costars and director Shawn Levy during the premiere. During a speech he thanked Lively while giving a nod to her ensemble for the evening.

“Her outfit is amazing, spoiler alert,” he playfully told a laughing crowd.

The actor also revealed the name of the couple’s fourth child, born in February 2023, having held the detail close to their chests until now.

He spoke of his love and thanks to children James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and their fourth child, Olin, all of which he said were also attending.

Lively is due to appear shortly in her own likely film hit. Her movie It Ends With Us, an adaptation of the popular Colleen Hoover novel, is set to be released on August 8.
