Prince William heads to Camden hotspot KOKO for post-Ascot night ...
A historic venue that has long been a staple of London’s nightlife scene, KOKO in Camden Town reopened following a lavish three-year, £70-million overhaul in 2022. Originally The Camden Theatre, the building first opened in 1900, before becoming a live music venue in the ’70s, later being graced by everyone from Prince to Amy Winehouse and Janelle Monae. Today, the redeveloped venue stretches to a sprawling 50,000 square feet, including a glamorous restaurant and members’ club, The House of KOKO, set ‘backstage’ behind the original restored Victorian theatre.

The new era of KOKO has seen it be graced by social royalty and actual royalty alike, with former Tatler cover star Emilia Boateng, Lady Amelia Windsor and Cassius Taylor all heading north for an evening’s revelry at one of the capital’s coolest spots. Now KOKO even has the seal of approval from the future king himself.
It’s been a busy week for William, who let his hair down at KOKO just ahead of the launch of Homewards, his ambitious UK-wide programme to end homelessness within five years. The prince has since embarked on a whirlwind 48-hour tour of the UK, visiting six locations that will be involved in the ground-breaking initiative.
