Armie Hammer’s ex-girlfriend describes his lurid fantasies: ‘I want to take a bite out of you’
Armie Hammer has called “B.S.” on social media allegations that he sent graphic text messages to women, describing sexual fantasies involving rape, sadism and cannibalism.
But at least two women who allegedly had relationships with the actor have come forward to share their concerns about him being controlling, with one saying he’s “predatory” and has a penchant for talking about kinky fantasies. Both women say they believe Hammer, 34, could have sent the unverified direct messages that have plunged him into a potentially devastating #MeToo scandal and forced him to withdraw from his next movie, “Shotgun Wedding,” with Jennifer Lopez.
One of those women, in an interview with Page Six, specifically claimed that Hammer liked to talked about which parts of her body he’d like to eat.
“He said to me he wants to break my rib and barbecue and eat it,” said Courtney Vucekovich, an app founder. “He says ‘I want to take a bite out of you. If I had a little cut on my hand he’d like suck it or lick it. That’s about as weird as we got.”
Vucekovich, 30, told Page Six she dated Hammer from June to August. That’s within the time frame of when Hammer and his wife, TV personality Elizabeth Chambers, announced they were getting a divorce after 10 years together and two children together.
Vucekovich said she first found the handsome, 6-foot-6-inch “Call Me By Your Name” star to be “captivating.”
“He enters your life in such a big way,” Vucekovich said. “He has such a presence and he’s aware of that and he uses it in such a way that most women would think, ‘Oh my gosh this is amazing.'”
But Vucekovich told Page Six Hammer was manipulative and obsessive. He expected her to be with him 24/7, and, if not, to return constant text messages. She said she started to not feel safe: “I had this gut feeling the whole time that this was not right.”
Vucekovich’s interview comes after Hammer issued a statement Wednesday, saying he didn’t even want to respond to the “(expletive) claims.” He also decried the “vicious and spurious online attacks against me,” but said they were the reason he didn’t think he could leave his children, ages 6 and 3, for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. He added that the studio, Lionsgate, is “supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.”
Hammer’s estranged wife is said to be in “complete shock” over the scandal, Entertainment Tonight reported. Chambers feels like her world “has been turned upside down” and is “sickened by the various women’s claims,” a source told ET.
Hammer’s name began trending Sunday night when screenshots began circulating online of graphic Instagram DMs that allegedly showed the actor speaking to women in a way that was sexually domineering and violent, Glamour reported. The screenshots appear to have originated from multiple Instagram accounts, some of which have gone private, and there is no proof that the messages are real, Glamour added. Hammer’s fans insist the messages are fake.
That hasn’t stopped the firestorm from becoming a full-blown Hollywood scandal that may involve more than a movie star having his embarrassing DMs leaked to the public. Hammer’s name is now associated with alleged comments that refer to rape, even if the rape in this context is somehow part of some consensual role-playing fantasy. In a #MeToo era, famous and powerful men are expected to be held to account for any signs of sexual harassment or abuse of power.
Another of Hammer’s reported ex-girlfriends made such a point when she commented on the situation. In a tweet that has since gone private, writer Jessica Ciencin Henriquez wrote on Monday, “If you are still questioning whether or not those Armie Hammer DMs are real (and they are) maybe you should start questioning why we live in a culture willing to give abusers the benefit of the doubt instead of victims.”
Henriquez, who was previously married to actor Josh Lucas, was photographed on a date with Hammer on Aug. 31, the Daily Mail reported. She reportedly blocked Hammer on social media shortly after the date. Henriquez also tweeted: “It takes an army to hide a predator. Behind every abuser is a team of people working hard to cover up the trail.”
Another woman who recently dated Hammer, model Paige Lorenze, tweeted Sunday: “Anyone got a good therapist?”
Hammer is no stranger to controversy over comments he’s made about his sexual interests. In a 2013 interview with Playboy, he revealed that he liked being “a dominant lover” who enjoyed grabbing partners by “the neck and the hair.” He said, though, that his sexual appetites changed after he got married in 2010.
Hammer later expressed regrets for these comments to E! News, blaming his “over-sharing” on alcohol, but four years later, he revealed to Elle that a former girlfriend once tried to stab him during sex. “Of course I promptly broke up with her…seven months later,” he said.
