There have been two confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Tararua region on Sunday.
Tararua District mayor Tracey Collis said the two cases were located in Woodville and were from the same household.
MidCentral District Health Board confirmed the positive cases were isolating at home.
Investigations were ongoing for links to known cases, and locations of interest would be identified on the Ministry of Health’s website.
Caltex in Woodville and Farmlands in Pahiatua had been listed as places of interest.

MidCentral DHB medical officer of health Dr Rob Weir said anyone feeling unwell needed to get tested.
“We are asking anyone, particularly in the Tararua district, who feels unwell or has been to a location of interest to get a Covid-19 test as soon as possible at one of the testing centres available.”
Collis said the region was prepared for the arrival of Covid-19 cases, and testing stations were open in Dannevirke, Pahīatua, and Woodville.
“The testing throughout the district, you know just driving through today, the testing, it was a very steady flow at all three towns, which was fantastic to see.
“The sooner we know that there is no further community transmission, or if there is then we can deal with that. Certainly the message is if you are not feeling well, get tested very quickly.”
Social distancing and wearing masks had been generally good in the region, but its Covid-19 vaccination rates were behind nearby Palmerston North, Collis said.
She said hopefully this was a good reminder, and anyone who hadn't yet had a vaccination went out and got one.
