Covid-19: Locations of interest in Delta outbreak, October 2

Covid19 Locations of interest in Delta outbreak October 2
A number of locations in the Waikato have been added after a Covid-positive truck driver passed through.

A number of fast food restaurants, petrol stations and truck stops have been added as locations of interest after an Auckland truck driver who travelled to Palmerston North tested positive for Covid-19.

Burger King on Rangitikei St and Challenge Longburn on State Highway 56 were the first Palmerston North locations of interest to be added to the Ministry of Health website.

BP Taupiri on Gordonton Road, BP Connect Taihape on Hautapu Street and BP Putaruru Truckstop on Taupo Street have also been linked as locations the truck driver stopped at on their way down to Palmerston North.

Earlier, an East Auckland petrol station and superette were added as locations of interest linked to the Covid-19 Delta community outbreak.

The petrol station was visited on September 30, from 12.45pm to 1.15pm, and the superette was visited on September 29 from noon to 12.15pm.

Three Pak’nSave supermarkets and a Noel Leeming store in Ormiston were also added to the list.

People who visited the locations at the relevant dates and times were told to self-monitor for Covid symptoms for 14 days, and only get tested if symptoms develop.

On Friday, the Countdown on Victoria St West in Auckland’s CBD was added to the list, along with a Manukau fruit and vegetable store, a Z petrol station in Parnell, and a superette in Kawakawa Bay.

Auckland is at alert level 3, while the rest of the country is at alert level 2.

The full list of locations of interest and visit times released by the Ministry of Health can be found below.

This list can be viewed in two ways: Date of visit (locations added today have the word NEW beside them) or, if you switch the toggle to Date included, newly added locations appear at the top of the list.

If you were at a location of interest at one of the specified times, you will likely need to self-isolate and be tested. Follow the instructions for that location on the Ministry of Health website and call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice on testing.

This list is automatically updated as soon as locations of interest appear on the Ministry of Health website.
