Jay-Jay Feeney treats her new boyfriend to a classic Kiwi ...

Jay-Jay Feeney's previously secret new boyfriend Minou seems to have enjoyed his first Kiwi Christmas, learning how to cook steaks on the barbie and accepting a gift of black-and-white New Zealand souvenir socks and a "Snore Stopper" with a smile. 

The More FM drive show host posted a series of clips to her Instagram Stories showing how she and her new beau, who lives in Algeria, spent Christmas Day.

The first shows a table laden with a traditional Christmas feast of smoked salmon, turkey, veggies and a two-tier pavlova topped with kiwifruit and strawberries overlaid with the caption "My mum cooked and didn't burn anything for a change!"

The next clip shows Minou who, as a Muslim doesn't usually celebrate Christmas, at her friend Katie's house, showing off his new socks and Snore Stopper - a red fist on the end of a stick.

"Katie got Minou a present. What is it? It's a Snore Stopper. So you're supposed to punch me with that if I snore," Feeney says, prompting Minou to pretend to do exactly that and tell her to "Wake up". 

Their next stop is Feeney's co-host Paul Flynn's place, where Flynn shows Minou a pan of "New Zealand beef" and tells him the steaks must be cooked for four minutes on each side. 

A cold-looking Minou, dressed in long pants and a hoodie, thanks Flynn for the advice and makes a new friend in his dog Skylar, but fails to comprehend Flynn's attempt at the French language. 

Panning across the steaks, sausages, smoked salmon, salad and garlic bread that Flynn has prepared, Feeney says "that looks good, that looks good, that looks good" and - when the camera alights on Minou - "that looks great". 

Feeney then asks Minou whether Flynn has lived up to his claim of being New Zealand's barbecuer of the year and Minou agrees that he has, describing the food as "yummy". 

Feeney has been documenting her and Minou's roadtrip around New Zealand while he is here on holiday.
