Guilty, again: Harvey Weinstein charged with sexual assault in LA trial
Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty of rape at a Los Angeles trial in another #MeToo moment of reckoning, five years after he became a magnet for the movement.
Entertainment reporter Peter Ford, told Michael Genovese and Mick Colliss, filling in for Millsy and Karl, that these are a separate raft of charges in Los Angeles to his prior conviction of 23-years in New York.
“The jury have been deliberating for 10 days in LA and they have found him to be guilty on three charges of rape and sexual assault,” he told 6PR Breakfast.
“It’s most unlikely, given he is 70 years-old and already has 23 years to go in New York, whatever sentence he is given in Los Angeles, it seems highly unlikely that Harvey Weinstein is ever going to get out of prison alive.”
