Rapper’s profile hacked with explicit pics
A US rapper has been left red-faced after his Spotify profile was apparently hacked, with hackers posting explicit pictures and text.
Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has had his Spotify page hacked and edited with explicit content, according to reports.
Tekashi 6ix9ine, 25, real name Daniel Hernandez, also had his bio and photos altered.
The hackers made references to Trippie Redd and Lil Durk in the change to his biography on the account, two musicians the rapper has had a beef with in the past.
The channel’s artwork was also changed including a cartoon image of the rapper as a woman who appeared to be morphing into a rat, according to Allhiphop.com.
“I grew up always wanting to be like Trippie Redd and lil durk I’d let them hit my girl and my mom,” the biography read. “My mom p***y stank I came from the sewer. Wack 100 my boyfriend and he secretly crip.”
His profile picture was also said to have been edited to feature pictures of penises.
Spotify users were shocked by the hack and warned others about the content.
“Don’t check out 6ix9ine’s profile on Spotify. Worst Mistake of my Life!” one user wrote, while another added, “My day was doing just fine till i saw 6ix9ine’s hacked spotify.”
The Spotify page has since been reverted back to is original state.
The identity of the hacker, or hackers, has not been revealed.
Last month, Tekashi 6ix9ine was involved in a dispute at an Ultimate Fighting Championship event in Las Vegas.
A member of the audience is said to have heckled the rapper and thrown a drink at him.
In response, the rapper threw a drink back, according to reports.
He was not charged in the incident but the other man was said to have been led away in handcuffs.
Previously, YouTube star Jake Paul challenged 6ix9ine to a boxing match, claiming the rapper “deserves to get his ass beat and I want to do it for all the people he’s disrespected”.
6ix9ine said in response: “I think he’s on steroids like his security guard who passed away.”
The rapper, whose name is pronounced “six nine”, first began releasing songs in 2014 and gained mainstream attention for his style of aggressive rap mixed with anime visuals.
He rose to fame in late 2017 with the release of his debut commercial single Gummo which became platinum, but his career has also been blighted by personal and legal issues.
Prior to his music career, he sold marijuana to support his family after his father was murdered in 2009.
