Liverpool have now beaten Ajax in four straight Champions League meetings.

The English club become the third side to defeat Ajax in at least four straight Champions League matches, joining Juventus and Real Madrid.

Liverpool have clinched their spot in the round of 16 for the sixth straight year, their longest-ever run in doing so.

After a tough opening 40 minutes, Liverpool found their quality and eased to victory in this one.

After showing so much promise at the start of this match, Ajax have been overrun here. Their supporters are beginning to file out of the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Assuming this result holds, Liverpool will be through to the round of 16. Despite Napoli currently beating Rangers 3-0, Liverpool will still have a chance to overtake them for first place when they meet at Anfield next week.

Ajax will be out of the Champions League but will only need to avoid a heavy defeat next week against Rangers to secure transferring to the Europa League.

Henderson has a clash of knees with an Ajax player and is down hurt. He's able to limp off the pitch under his own power as Klopp makes three changes:

• Milner on for Henderson
• Bajcetic on for Fabinho

Taylor only came on a few minutes ago but has a golden chance to claw a goal back for Ajax. He fires a first-time shot from close range but the ball flies over the crossbar. He really should have hit the target.
